Dr. Sameer Jejurikar: The Compassionate Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Sameer Jejurikar will be the first to tell you that he loves his job. He loves getting to know his patients, he loves the technical aspects of performing surgery, and he loves that he makes a profound difference in his patients’ lives. One of the most important qualities a plastic surgeon can have, Dr. Jejurikar insists, is listening to his/her patients to find out what they want. Patients will come with concerns about their body and appearance that are psychologically debilitating, Jejurikar says, and being able to transform their appearance is an incredible feeling. His most common plastic surgery procedures are face lifts, mommy makeovers, tummy tucks, breast lifts, and breast augmentation.

Dr. Jejurikar’s patients seem to feel the same towards him. In 2012, Jejurikar was honored with the Compassionate Doctor Certification. Only 3% of the country’s 870,000 active physicians received this honor. His compassion extends to altruism, too. He makes an annual trip to Bangladesh, with the Smile Bangladesh organization, to help the city’s impoverished children.

Sam Jejurikar also reaches out to his audience with informative blogs on the Dallas Plastic Surgery website. Here, he discusses medical issues in depth, touching on topics like buttock augmentations and plastic surgery scars.

Dr. Sam Jejurikar is a board-certified plastic surgeon and a member of the Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute in Dallas, Texas. He received his bachelor’s and medical degree from the University of Michigan. He also did his residency in plastic surgery at the same university. He then furthered his training in aesthetic surgery at the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital. He is an active member at the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the Dallas Society of Plastic Surgeons. His writings have been published in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Journal, Annals of Plastic Surgery, Microsurgery Journal, and the Journal of Surgical Research.
